The following is a short video sent to WWOHD by author Margaret Mitchell Armand.
A matrilineal DNA search lead Margaret to her ancestors in the country of Cameroon, the ethnic group the Bamiléké. She discovered that her ancestors arrived in Haiti during the horrific period of the Transatlantic Slave Trade.
In 2011, Margaret took a trip to Cameroon with the NGO Group of Arkjammers and African ancestry, a return to the ancestral land. She is seen briefly in this video.
