ANNOUNCING THE WINNERS OF THE POETIC WALL CONTEST
In accordance to the rules of the contest, the 5 poems with the most “Like” on Facebook were sent to a panel of judges.

ABOUT THE JUDGES
Marylin Laurent is a writer/poet residing in New York. Her published work includes Diary of an Innocent Dreamer and Statement.
Neddy’s work is forthcoming on Onè? Respè!, the online journal of the Women Writers of Haitian Descent. A tad philosophical, her writing tends to give voice to the battles she faces as she tries to reconcile all the different parts of her life.
Patricia Fièvre works in the translation and editing business. She’s an avid reader whose favorite authors are Daphne du Maurier and Agatha Christie.

ABOUT THE CONTEST
Poetic Wall is a Facebook contest open to ALL writers of Haitian descent. It is organized by artist Jean Michel Daudier in collaboration with WWOHD. Writers are invited to send their poems in English, French, or Creole. Poems to be ultimately judged by a panel of women writers of Haitian descent.
1st Prize: U.S. $150
2nd Prize: U.S. $100
3rd Prize: A dinner for two at Casa Chanpèt in Pembroke Pines, FL (a U.S. $50 value)
How to submit
1. Join Jean-Michel Daudier’s fan club on Facebook
2. Post your original, unpublished poem on the group wall. Limit of 2 poems per contestant. Entries should not exceed 100 lines each.
3. Encourage your Facebook friends to join the fan club and “Like” your poem.
Entry is Free. There will be no fee or other obligation for entering this contest.
JUDGING
Stage One: The 5 poems with the most “Like” will be sent to a panel of judges.
Stage Two: Judges will select the winners among these 5 poems.
SUBMISSION PERIOD
The last contest ran from October 1st to October 31st, at midnight EST, 2010.

Winners will be announced the first week of November. Winners will be contacted via Facebook and invited to read at Haiti Out Loud.
